Appaphot is intended to make you share my passion. This passion for photography and camera began in the early 70s with a few cameras "box" for decorate my darkroom. And then, many donations and gifts of my family and my friends with some simple cameras, sometimes more rarer have filled my glass cases. Then I haved catch the virus and that go on allways.. |
Welcome to www.collection-appareils.fr, Reference for collectors of vintage cameras In these pages we display the tangible evidence of an insidious disease which have been affecting hundreds of people for many years. During the week, they behave just like anyone, working, studying or peacefully enjoying their retirement. Yet, a knowledgeable observer would be able to detect though how the words "box" or "folding camera" could instantly light up a special gleam in their eyes… |
Welcome to my collection of vintage cameras and information on how to fix them, as many of these cameras showed the signs of age and long neglect and it seemed wrong to leave them in that state. |
CameraQuest's Classic Camera Profiles Thanks for visiting. As a camera dealer, collector and photographer, I've developed my own list of favorite cameras/lenses/accessories. These are some of them. This page is under continual construction and updating. At any one time, at least 10 new pages are under preparation. Older pages are sometimes updated, so if you like one of the profiles, re-visit it occasionally. Stephen Gandy, Los Angeles |
We are going to feature a way of using mainly classic cameras and also rare cameras for all of you who come to "Guide to Classic Cameras". |
Vintage cameras, Classic cameras and plain old film cameras online. Classic and vintage cameras in the online Living Image Camera Museum, from the century of photography, 1900 - 2000. We keep as many cameras in working order as possible. The majority of these old cameras have little cash value, their true value lies with the images they recorded for posterity, but they do have a beauty and charm of their own. |
This site contains information on items that reflect my photographic interests. Primarily, these are collecting and researching 'old' cameras (particularly Leica copies) and taking and printing black and white landscapes. |
Dear visitors! SovietCams.com is celebrating it's 10 years anniversary this 2016 year. During these years I have spent many thousands of working hours to make this source more informative and attractive for my guests. Now the situation is changing a lot. The lack of time doesn't allow me to maintain this website regularly. |
The first Praktica was built in 1949 by the Company "Mechanik Kamera Werkstätten VEB Niedersedlitz" which was founded as "Kamera-Werkstätten Guthe & Thorsch GmbH" 1919 by Benno Thorsch and Paul Guthe in Dresden. In 1989 the Berlin wall was down; the GDR was no more; and a great name was soon fade into history. The famous Pentacon factory in Dresden was shortly closed and with it, unless something unexpected happens, the end of the Praktica SLR. The following pages contain some information about the history of the Praktica cameras as well as the history of Pentacon Dresden the company which has designed the Praktica SLR 's for 31 years. At the end of this time, on October 2, 1990, Pentacon Dresden was the largest and famous German camera producer. The market share of Pentacon was at this time 5% in Germany, 12% in France, 24% in United Kingdom and 30% in the Netherlands (Blumtritt). My collection contains today 324 different cameras such as Praktica cameras as well as their precursors I'm interested on all Praktica models as well as Pentacon Six-, Praktiflex-, Contax-SLR-, Praktina-, Pentina, Pentacon Super-cameras which are not included in my collection today. I'm only a collector and not a seller of Praktica cameras! |
My first Kodak camera was given to me by my Grandmother when I was in my early teens. I just loved the look and mechanical simplicity of this Brownie box camera. In my late 20's I bought another old Kodak box camera at a garage sale . . . and that started it. The result of the next 35 or so years of collecting these works of art is cataloged below. |
