In addition to simple, carefree, and fun-to-use Advanced Photo System features, the VECTIS 260 assures clear and sharp pictures every time.

The VECTIS 260's Advanced Photo System features include fuss-free Drop-in Loading and Film Chamber Lock, which assures simple and safe handling. The Advanced Photo System also broadens pleasure in photography with Triple Format Selection; C, H, and P. User Select Title Imprinting allows the user to title a once-in-a-lifetime photograph from more than 30 pre-set selections in 12 different languages. The great moment can be retraced even better with Date/Time Imprinting. Better-quality prints can be achieved by the photofinisher with the PQI (Print Quality Improvement) feature.

Another delight the VECTIS 260 offers is striking imaging performance. Versatile flash provides Autoflash with red-eye reduction, Night Portrait, and Landscape/Night View modes in addition to regular Autoflash, Manual fill-flash, and Flash cancel modes. Clear and sharp pictures are assured with a 4-element, 4-group zoom lens including a double-sided aspheric glass element and the class leader focusing steps of about 200. Moreover, remote control capability offers an extra benefit to the users.

The capsule-type body's front features a sharp, well-balanced design while a metallic silver finish gives the camera a sophisticate look. Minolta is convinced the VECTIS 260 is sure to please.

2.6X Zoom in a Compact Body

The VECTIS 260 has a zoom starting at a wide 25mm and stretching to 65mm (approx. 31 - 81mm in the 35mm format). The zoom range allows the user to capture a varied range of photographic scenes, from a portrait to sweeping landscapes. The remarkable 2.6X zoom is packed in one of the world's most compact and lightweight bodies in its class. The VECTIS 260 is only 104 x 65 x 38.5mm in size and weighs a mere 170g!

Easy, Carefree, and Fun! - Advanced Photo System Features

Simple Drop-In Loading
Drop-in Loading dramatically simplifies film loading. Just insert the film cassette and close the door. It's that easy.

Reliable Film Chamber Lock
Film Chamber Lock prevents the film-chamber door from being opened accidentally when the film is in the chamber.

Triple Format Selection
In Triple Format Selection, the VECTIS 260 provides three kinds of photo formats to suit the user's preference: classic C print, wider H print, and panorama P print. The user sees the format's framing through the viewfinder. The type of format can be selected before shooting and even changed when ordering reprints.

Date/Time Imprinting and User Select Title Imprinting
In Date/Time Imprinting, the user can record the date on the front* or back of each photo in a variety of day, year, month, hour, and minute configurations. In addition, User Select Title Imprinting allows sharing a once-in-a-lifetime shot with an imprinted message. More than 30 titles are offered in 12 different languages, such as Happy Birthday, Dankeschön, and Congratulazioni. For every shot, the user can preselect up to two titles from the title list.
*Availability of front printing should be checked with photofinishers.

Print Quality Improvement (PQI)
Print Quality Improvement (PQI) uses magnetic IX data and lets the camera encode photographic information. As a result, the film can be printed with better quality by photofinishers.

Superb Imaging Performance

Feature-Packed Flash
The VECTIS 260's versatile flash modes include Autoflash, Autoflash with red-eye reduction, Manual fill-flash, Flash cancel, Night Portrait, and Landscape/Night View. The red-eye reduction function helps to reduce the unpleasant red-eye effect to give the subject a more natural look. The Night Portrait mode lets the camera automatically synchronize the flash with a slow shutter speed to bring out background illumination while lighting the subject. Landscape/Night View mode sets the autofocus to infinity and cancels the flash to create a beautiful photograph of night views such as a city skyline. The Landscape/Night View mode is also ideal for capturing a countryside vista in daylight photography.

4-Element, 4-Group Lens Construction
The VECTIS 260 incorporates Minolta's unique 4-element, 4-group lens construction including a double-sided aspheric glass element. This lens construction produces clear and high-contrast images. It also contributes to the overall compactness of the body.

Remarkable 200 Focusing Steps
The VECTIS 260 delivers one of the finest focusing steps in its class; the maximum of about 200 steps. Precision focus is always provided.

Friendly and Sophisticated Capsule-Type Body

The VECTIS 260 has a capsule-type body with an well-balanced, eye-catching design and a metallic silver finish on the front. The body is relatively flat so it is not obtrusive when carried in a bag.
