Fujifilm X-T30 II: price, specs, release date revealed

By Camera Jabber

Fujifilm has announced the X-T30 II, price tag from £769 / $899, an update to its popular entry-level mirrorless camera.

The Fujifilm X-T30 II offers the same sensor and body design as the original Fujifilm X-T30, but features a new high-speed AF system that’s on par with the flagship Fujifilm X-T4.

The Fujifilm X-T30 II promises focusing speeds as fast as 0.02secs for fast tracking of moving subjects. Its phase detection AF system also can lock onto subjects in conditions as dark as -7EV.

Another upgrade is a new 1.62-million dot LCD screen on the camera’s rear panel and 18 Film Simulation modes.

Other features remain largely the same. The Fujifilm X-T30 II boasts the same 26.1-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4 processing engine.

The camera can also output 4K video at 30p at 8 bit 4:2:0 onto an SD card, and 4K/30P video at 10 bit 4:2:2 to HDMI. What’s more, it now supports Full HD/240P high-speed video, capable of replaying a momentary action of a fast-moving subject.

The Fujifilm X-T30 II price tag is £769 / $899 for the body only. The price tag rises to £849 / $999 and £1,099 / $1,299, respectively for kits including the camera plus the XC15-45mm F3.5-5.6 OIS PZ or XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS.

The Fujifilm X-T30 II release date is set for October 2021.
