The newly announced Fujifilm XF 8mm F3.5 R WR Lens ($799 atB&H Photo / Amazon / Adorama) is now in short supply.
Fujifilm XF 8mm F3.5 R WR lens which was scheduled to be released on June 29th, has received more reservations than expected, so it may take some time to deliver the product. The XF 8mm f/3.5 weighs 215g and measures just 52.8mm. 62mm filters fit the lens.
Fujifilm is currently in short supply of various products. The X-T5 supply shortage was announced on May 19th, and the unstable supply of Fujifilm cameras and lenses is likely to continue for some time.

Tamron just introduced the 11-20mm f/2.8 Di III-A RXD fast-aperture, ultra-wideangle zoom lens for the Fujifilm X-Mount, and Shutterbug was able to take it for an extended spin. The Sigma 24–70mm F2.8 DG DN Art is a bright, premium zoom lens for photographers on either the Sony E-mount or the L-mount shared by Leica, Panasonic and Sigma camera bodies. Here are some newly spotted wide-angle Sigma zoom lens patents that are f/1.8. The Sigma 15-24mm f/1.8, 16-28mm f/1.8, and 18-30mm f/1.8 could all be useful zooms, but they will likely be very expensive given their fast apeture.

Cosina unveils the Voigtlander 28mm F2.8 Aspherical lens for Nikon F mount camera systems.
New Voigtlander lens include a nine-blade aperture diaphragm, a 52mm front filter thread, and an aperture range of F2.8 through F22. The lens measures 66.3mm (2.6″) in diameter, 32.8mm (1.3″) long and weighs 255g (9oz).
The lens comes in two versions: one with a silver front filter ring and one with a black front filter ring. The lens is reassuringly solidly built, weighing in at a reasonable 411g. It is splash and dust resistant and specifically claims to resist water to the IPX1 standard. This basically means that it will be resistant to condensation and to drops of water “falling vertically” on the lens. Maybe heavy rain should be avoided, but full marks for being specific about what splash resistance might actually mean.
