Conventional wisdom would suggest that demand for digital cameras would’ve tapered in the past few months, with people rarely venturing outdoors. However, the pandemic-induced lockdown has created a new opportunity for camera manufacturers.

New Canon firmware update released for EOS R5 mirrorless camera and this is a major one.

The Canon EOS R5 firmware update version 1.4.0 adds external 8K ATOMOS Ninja V+ support via the HDMI port. Firmware v1.4.0 also adds simultaneous movie recording to both memory card slots and the VPG 400 profile.

The Fujifilm GFX50S Mark II is expected to be the next medium format camera in Fuji’s GFX series.  A new report suggests that Fujifilm’s next medium format camera will be announced on September 2.

The upcoming Fujifilm GFX 50S Mark II has been registered in Indonesia with the certification body poster. The Fujifilm GFX 50S II will, obviously, be the successor to the original Fujifilm GFX 50S.

When it comes to mirrorless cameras under $1,000, there are many good options nowadays. These bodies offer a great balance of image quality, compact size and control, all wrapped up in an affordable package.

That said, there's a reason these cameras remain less expensive: they lack some of the features of their high-end brethren.
